Community Health Volunteer Training - Tuesday

Join with volunteers from across the community for a training on how to help add capacity to our health care system and support your neighbors.

We are asking for volunteers to be trained as Spokane Regional Health District Community Health Volunteers to check-in over the phone with patients who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are in their homes. The volunteer will call these community members every day by phone to document worsening symptoms as well as the person's oxygen levels. All volunteers will be supported by an on-call clinician available by phone 24/7 and will be trained for the role. Volunteers will be asked to be responsible for 10 patients at a time and commit to a week of volunteering minimum. This should be around an hour a day in call time. The goals are to support people with COVID-19 who are at home and reduce some of the burden on the health care system.

This training will take place via Zoom as a video conference with a call-in option. After RSVPing you will be sent the log-in details.
