Briefing on Housing Levy Organizing
The HB 1590 housing levy funds that the Spokane Alliance, Spokane Low Income Housing Consortium and FUSE fought hard to win, are once again under attack. This year, the council wants to use them to plug a hole in the budget created by utility fee hookup waivers.
On Thursday, we will:
- Learn about our plan to protect 1590 going forward
- Prepare testimony for City Council on 11/20
- Phone bank to turn out others for the City Council meeting
