Community Assembly on Disaster Resilience
Hosted by: The Spokane Alliance
Join the Spokane Alliance for a Community Assembly on Disaster Resilience as we reflect on what we have experienced, listen to stories from across our community, and ask what this moment can teach us about building a stronger Spokane.
Everyone is welcome and invited. Each member institution should send at least 2 delegates.
At this meeting we will:
-
Reflect in small groups on two questions:
What was your experience of the Spokane Complex Fires? Did it directly impact you or someone you know? What thoughts and feelings did you have, watching from outside the fire area?
What questions and issues might people in Spokane be more willing to consider now, after this experience of loss?
-
Explore tools to build more resilient institutions for future crises
-
Hear campaign updates from Housing Equity Action Research Team, Jobs Team, and Immigration Team
-
Review of the Spokane Alliance 2026-2027 budget
Meeting is from 6:00 - 8:00 pm
Food served at 5:30 pm
Location: 15515 Gleneden, Spokane, WA 99208
