Thursday, September 29th, 6 - 8 PM
Location: TBD
Join leaders from across the Spokane Alliance for our quarterly Delegate's Assembly. We will be meeting to reflect on our work so far and discern the next steps for building our unity and power as a coalition. In particular, we will discuss:
-
Building Our Electoral Power - the elections in November are an unprecedented opportunity to elect leaders who understand the pressures our communities face. We'll discuss ways we can educate our members and the public about where the candidates stand on our priority issues.
-
Stabilizing Childcare - the Childcare / Mental Health Research Action Team has won commitments for $4 Million in federal relief funds to stabilize childcare. We'll hear about their progress and what's needed to move forward.
-
Building Relationships and Partnerships - with 8 new member institutions joining in the couple years, we'll have a chance to build our relationships with each other. We will also reflect on how we bring in new voices, in particular indigenous voices through the work of the Truth & Reconciliation Team.
- ... Plus, meet our new Senior Organizer, Laurel Fish!
Each member organization should have 3-4 representatives present. Participating ensures your organization's interests are represented. You will help focus the work we do together through Spokane Alliance and ensure that we stay relevant and inspiring to your members!
