Join us on Friday, August 11th at 5-6:30PM at the West Central Abbey (1832 W Dean Ave), to celebrate Leila's service as the Americorp VISTA through the Whitworth Dornsife Center and Spokane Alliance. In mid-August, Leila's VISTA service comes to an end and she will move on to start a program in School Counseling through Gonzaga University.

During her 2 terms of service, Leila has worked to support the leadership development of the Spokane Alliance's Housing Equity Action and Research Team to mobilize West Central residents as leaders around housing justice. She has organized a dynamic, committed group of leaders from multiple institutions and neighborhood residents, that will continue to work to create actionable change on affordable housing. Leila has brought her thoughtfulness, compassion, and persistence to building the capacity of West Central residents to take action on issues that they care about.
