Our Neighborhood, Our Vision

The West Central neighborhood has seen a lot of change and could see even more. Will these changes improve the common good in the neighborhood or create more inequity? Over the next ten years, as much as $6 million could be invested in the neighborhood through a local source of funding - West Quadrant TIF.

Join neighbors and leaders from the community to discuss what investments you would like to see made with this funding. We will be sharing a brief teaching on the West Quadrant TIF and listening to each other about our hopes and dreams for the neighborhood. This is the first conversation in a Listening Season to engage with residents, identify priorities, and build a unified voice and vision for the neighborhood. We are also planning safe, socially distanced canvassing at gathering places in the neighborhood and would like to host more listening sessions throughout the community to ensure we're reaching the broadest and most diverse cross section of the neighborhood. If you would like to help with this effort or have suggestions please reach out to [email protected].

This meeting will take place over Zoom with a video and call-in option. Please RSVP to receive the log-in information.

PLEASE NOTE the new date, this meeting will take place on Tuesday, June 30th, 7-8:30pm.

This event is hosted by the Spokane Alliance and our HEART (Housing Equity Action Research Team). The Spokane Alliance is a non-partisan, non-profit network of congregations, unions, and community groups representing 20,000 people in the Spokane region. Through community organizing we bring local leaders together to build power for the common good.
