Join leaders from across the Spokane Alliance for our first Digital Delegates Assembly! We will be meeting to gather and reflect on the past seven weeks of action and adaptation to the pandemic and the economic crisis it has caused.
We will have presentations from different action teams that have formed in response to the crisis:
- Our new Community Health Program - volunteers providing support and monitoring to people who have tested positive for COVID-19 and are supporting the Spokane Regional Health District's contact tracing efforts.
- Front Line Workers - union members, small businesses, and non-profits have continued to work on the front lines of this crisis as essential workers, together we have worked to ensure all front line workers have access to child care, masks, and cleaning supplies.
- Rental Assistance - with the Tenants Union, the Spokane Low-Income Housing Coalition, and Greater Spokane Progress we have worked to create additional protections for tenants during this time and a rental assistance fund.
- CARES Act Funding - Spokane County will be receiving $90M in relief from the federal CARES Act and we have acted to changed the public conversation around how these funds are allocated so that the County invests in the people and small businesses that keep our economy strong.
We will discern together and vote on the next steps and strategy for the Alliance. Each member organization should have 3-4 representatives present.
This event will take place via Zoom as a video conference with a call-in option. After RSVPing you will be sent the log-in details.
