It’s action time and you’re invited! The Mental Health and Childcare Teams have heard from our members loud and clear about the issues within early learning that cannot go unaddressed another day!
Our members are testifying in front of the City Council on Feb 28th and March 28th about the greatest needs of early learning. We are currently organizing around a $10 M American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) proposal that aims to provide the following:
- Subsidies for families to access and afford child care
- Direct support for the child care workforce
- An additional Early Learning Mental Health Consultant to respond to the mental health needs of children, families, and early care providers through Community Minded Enterprises.
Our intention in gathering testimony is to educate the City Council on the timely needs of kids, families, and the workforce and ultimately ask them to invest public dollars in early learning!
Join us, whether you’d like to meet with an organizer to prepare a testimony yourself, or come celebrate a fellow member giving their testimony at our ‘Testimony Watch Party’ in front of City Council!
